Cultural vocabulary in teaching Turkish as a foreign language

This study aims at specifying cultural words in teaching Turkish as a foreign language according to their proficiency levels (A1/2, B1/2, and C1/2) analyzing the difference between of these terms frequency. For this purpose, corpus 112.350 tokens total has been created based on written oral texts. In corpus, nouns verbs first 2000 frequency have compared with most common words, that are not marked words. Then, textbooks used language. The English equivalents Cambridge Learner's Dictionary context which they checked listed levels. Finally, list edited opinions two experts university level. differences analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis Mann-Whitney U tests. Findings show there is statistically significant A1 A2; A2 B1; B1 B2; C1 C2 frequency, whereas no B2 findings, it seen level number concept diversity, concluded could be threshold
